The meeting was virtual, but it promised very interesting real work and synergies to come in the next four years!

4th - 6th October 2023

The aim of this 3-day workshop is to foster discussion and stimulate collaboration between researchers working on black holes and other astrophysical compact objects. It will also provide young researchers with a comprehensive introduction to the state of the art of the various central fields of research.

17th - 21st June 2024

The Amazonian Workshop on Gravity and Analogue Models is an introductory to mid-level meeting intended to be regularly held by the Graduate Program in Physics at the Pará University. Under the NewFunFiCO project it allowed the the interaction and transfer of knowledge amongst various nodes of the consortium.

18th - 22nd November 2024

The VI Amazonian Symposium on Physics is targeted for young researchers and graduate students in Physics, as well as for last-year undergraduate students, wishing to learn about Gravitation, from some of the world’s leading experts. Under the NewFunFiCO project it allowed the the interaction and transfer of knowledge amongst various nodes of the consortium.

20th - 22nd May 2025

This Workshop on Exotic Compact Objects, Shadows, and Gravitational Waves, intends to bring together experts on experimental and theoretical Astrophysicists to explore the Universe from its most fundamental particle constituents to massive objects that populate our Cosmos. The workshop is particularly focused in providing young Master and PhD researchers state of the art knowledge on Astrophysics, Strong Gravity, Numerical Relativity, Gravitational Wave Astronomy, and Machine Learning methods, with particularly useful courses, to explore signals of new physics in Relativistic Astrophysics, Strong Gravity and Cosmology.

3rd - 7th November 2025

The Gravitation and Mathematical Physics Division (DGFM) of the Mexican Physical Society (SMF) is organizing the XV edition of its Mexican School. Since 1994, the School has been held every two years, offering a unique space to exchange and discuss current ideas in gravitational physics in a pedagogical manner. This year, the DGFM joins efforts with the research network New Fundamental Fields in Compact Objects (NewFunFiCO) to co-organize the event. The 2025 edition will focus on Modern Topics in Gravitation and Mathematical Physics.
